Review of There Will Be Blood (2007) by Henry F — 18 Mar 2014
Possibly the only film I can consider a complete masterpiece, from the cinematography to Daniel Day-Lewis' amazing performance, a career best even by his standards. There Will Be Blood follows an oil man as he strikes gold (or oil) in a small town, but comes to many problems along the way.
Looking in detail at things like greed and religion, there's no doubt it's an important film, and the way Paul Thomas Anderson presents these things makes it all the more impressive. A brilliant film, although I undertand its not for everyone, I can't find a bad word to say about it.
