Review of There Will Be Blood (2007) by Julian K — 25 Jan 2015

I've realised people bash this movie for being too slow. The thing I noticed is that it is intentionally slow pace to build this feeling of dread. For the first half of the movie if you're not completely paying attention it is quite slow.

But the second half of the movie gets a lot better stuff starts happening and the main character stars changing. This leads to one of the most unforgettable final 20 minutes of any movie as seen in recent memory.

So yeah this movie is slow but it pays off. Might be the teenist bit overrated.
