Review of There Be Dragons (2011) by Lilianetty L — 30 Sep 2011

The Spanish Civil War was one of the worst wars ever (I hate wars, won't give details why, since it's obvious), and was with Franco al poder. Women's could not go to work or do anything else, but do babies (example, Lorca's The House of Bernarda Alba). It was a split of a nation, the same people fighting each other, killing each other, for what? Dunno, but it was stupid after all.

Plot: This is a story with another point of view of the Civil War (first time hearing and watching the adaptation of it, since I know two other point of views: Lorca's and movies of documental). In this one, Robert is curious and want's to know what happened to Josemaria (de Opus Dei founder). He will find secrets even from the past of his father, Manolo Torres. There is also a bit of 'romance' entre comillas, porque el centro es la guerra civil espa~ola y la historia de Josemaria. The rest is history. Stars? YES! The director and crew did a great job, even in editing.

Acting: Charlie as Josemaria estuvo genial, estupendo, he nailed the role very well. Same Wes como Manolo. I really got inspired by his role, since he plays it in different ways in the same film (won't spoil that). Dougray as Robert was stunning and also marvelous, same Rodrigo como Oriol y el resto del elenco. Estrellas? Yep, many stars for this amazing cast effort.

Music: Los musicos se botaron de verdad. Is a wonderful and inspiring score for my soul and ears. Beautiful, defenetly the best part of the movie in every way. Stars? Obviously yes.
