Review of Then She Found Me (2007) by Jk F — 20 Sep 2008
This film does come together by the end, but unfortunately this is too little, too late. Like many actors-turned-first-time-director's movies, the film has sub-par, bad TV production values (although shots are generally pretty well blocked) and plenty of that chewy, theatrical dialogue of which actors are so fond.
On the plus side, it's nowhere near as obvious or crass as most romantic comedies (particularly since most of the gags miss) but unfortunately not dramatic enough to be a drama with a few laughs, while Colin Firth gets easily one of the worst-written roles in recent memory.
This film isn't a total waste and a pretty good effort, but difficult to like or recommend.
