Review of Then She Found Me (2007) by Chevelle H — 21 Apr 2009
Loved it. It was understated, didn't go for cheap laughs and didn't cash in on the OTT factor courtesy of Divine Ms M. I thought it was a commendable directing and acting effort by Helen Hunt, and Colin Firth was melty, proving that yes, fatherhood can totally be a sexy thing.
Matthew Broderick was aptly annoying and was therefore well cast. The film ultimately stripped away Hollywood gloss and exposed life with its wrinkles, funny-sad moments and propensity for the occasional silliness.
Loved it.
