Review of Then She Found Me (2007) by Sara R — 17 Mar 2009
A good movie. Helen Hunt is not really extraordinary as a director, but she did a fine enough job. Bette Midler was terrific. It was fun to see Helen and Matthew together again after Project X. However Project X was a much better movie too.
:) The story of this one is about a woman who is adopted, loses her adoptive mother (to death) and her husband (to divorce) at the same time. She desperately wants a child of her own but things do not seem to work out for her.
Midler plays her biological mother who seeks her out to try and have a relationship with her now that both her adoptive parents have passed on. It had a few funny moments and a few heartwrenching ones.
Worth a viewing.
