This movie is surprisingly realistic. It shows the friendship of two women who support each other in different ways. Louise is a street savvy survivor of a woman who's been through a lot in life. Thelma is an abused wife who has yet to experience it.
The consequences that result from both personalities make this movie what it is. It's a treat and a tragedy.
