Review of Thelma & Louise (1991) by Caleb M — 01 Dec 2010
A fun twist on Bonnie & Clyde, a story of self-discovery, a mistake blown out of proportion. Thelma & Louise is a fun road trip with some interesting approaches to female-empowerment and genre conventions.
It isn't everyday you see the cops trying to help two suspected murderers, Michael Madsen playing a genuinely decent guy, or such likable characters enjoying destroying themselves and those around them.
Thelma and Louise is about living in the now: taking in the moment for what it is and doing what needs to be done.
