Review of Thelma & Louise (1991) by Shane S — 01 May 2011
Yeah, it's a classic, but then again, we kind of swept ourselves in the frenzy of this classic road dramedy. Kind of like the feminist "Easy Rider" - two women see that the world isn't going to easily allow them. Acting was nice, the script was perfect, and the cinematography was beautiful. Ridley Scott did a pretty good job making a classic out of a concept that Hollywood must've not liked so much.
But those pop songs playing so much - oh, God. Then again, it strengthens its parallels to "Easy Rider" - after all, the quintessential motorcycle acid Western had a lot of forgettable songs that were products of its era.
I think I need to write a better review for this soon.
