This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis (who I don't particularly care for in any of her other movies) are perfect as the title pair. There has always been a very negative view of this movie as little more than an uber feminist chick flick, but it is so much more.
.. It is a movie about friendship, love, and finding freedom at any cost... And, as Janis Joplin put it so eloquently: "Freedom's just another word for 'nothing left to lose'".
