Review of Thelma & Louise (1991) by Jay L — 11 Apr 2012
A great road film by the talented Ridley Scott, "Thelma and Louise" features a solid script and great performances from it's cast. I liked the feel to the film and after Thelma is nearly raped by a man at a bar Louise shoots him dead and they are forced to hit the road.
They travel down to Mexico with the police constantly on pursuit and they are caught before they get to their destination leaving them to make a tough decision on what to do. While the ending was somewhat expected, at least to me, it upset many people looking for a more typical Hollywood ending.
I've seen many great road films and the realism of the characters and their actions is fun to watch.
