A very pleasant change from science fiction, super hero or Disney remakes that should have been left alone.
Despite Bill 'Cardboard cutout' Nighy it was a very enjoyable if not remarkable evenings entertainment.
Too serious a topic to be a romp but amusing enough in places whilst bringing home the facts of the time, war, destruction, class and male divides and the fragility of life.
Gemma Arterton and Sam Claflin were great.
