Review of Their Finest (2017) by Stuart M — 11 May 2017
A reasonably entertaining look at women in the British film industry during WW2. The comedy wasn't all that biting (apart from some amusing scenes with an American airman who was drafted into the production for propaganda reasons) but it managed a consistent low-level sense of amusement throughout.
Which tended to be torn apart by the war scenes, but there you are. I enjoyed the piece for its look at life in WW2 London and the British film industry. The drama worked better than the comedy.
