A narratively sweet story and a surprisingly refreshing performance from Gemma Arterton, Their Finest clearly plays off the strengths and capabilities of a well-selected cast - including a thoroughly entertaining role from the ever dependable Bill Nighy - but does run dry in places, especially towards the final portion. However, on the most part, it entertains.
