THEIR FINEST-2017(R)-May 12.

Based on the novel "Their Finest Hour and a Half" by Lissa Evans, Their Finest, set in 1940 war ravaged Britain is the story of British ministry 's efforts to boost the nation's morale through the production of propaganda films. During the Blitz on London, Catrin Cole (Gemma Arterton), a young Welsh woman has been hired by Roger Swain (Richard E, Grant), the head of film at the Ministry of Information, as a screenwriter for the women's dialogue in their short films. After an early script disagreement with pompous veteran actor Ambrose Hilliard (Bill Nighy), Catrin is sent to interview Lily & Rose (Claudia Jessie & Stephanie Hyam), twin sisters who boldly took their father's boat to assist in the Dunkirk evacuation. For personal reasons Catrin is compelled to misrepresent their failed effort as a more heroic story & along with fellow screenwriters Tom Buckley (Sam Claflin) & Raymond Parfitt (Paul Ritter) begins work on an epic feature length film. Directed by Lone Scherfig from a screenplay by Gaby Chiappe, Their Finest is a charming, witty & moving film that champions women's rights as well as the power of cinema to move hearts & minds. The performances from the cast were flawless. Bill Nighy steals the film as the ego-driven actor. Their Finest is a MUST-SEE FILM.
