Review of Their Finest (2017) by Robert S — 22 Apr 2017
Bloody hell, Britain, you can do better than this. Painting-by-the-numbers tick-box fluff with an unnecessary 'tragic' death in the third act that is utterly pointless. Occasional funny moment, but otherwise a milk ticket for the performers and not for me.
My friend and I didn't care for the characters, finding the NINETY PER CENT RT rating by the pros wholly inexplicable. A fair depiction of the selfish, self-centred and obsessed ac-tor, but nothing else you haven't seen before.
The film made within the film is decidedly cheap even when it is intended to be. Overall, predictable and low-grade.
