Review of The Zookeeper's Wife (2017) by Sandy B — 30 Mar 2017
It's good movie, stays pretty true to the book (as I remember the book. I read it a while ago.) The performances are good. It's a true story so it's all the more poignant. ANimals die, peole die, the war goes where we know it's going to go.
But somehow I wasn'y "moved" by it. Oh I am always moved by any holocoust story but there was a disconnect emotionally. I almost cried once but in this kind of movie I wouod expect to cry (or be deeply moved) many times.
It's certainly worth seeing and quite a film but not quite a 5 star for me.
