Review of The Zero Theorem (2013) by Ming Siu G — 01 Apr 2014
As with Brazil and Twelve Monkeys, Terry Gilliam creates a singular vision of an anarchic futuristic world, although we only experience this in tantalising glimpses due to the main character's reclusiveness.
The level of visual detail is incredible and merits multiple viewings. Unfortunately the same is not quite true for the story which, after a promising start, doesn't seem to want to go anywhere, much like it's main character.
Worth seeing if you're a Gilliam fan, but not completely satisfying.
