Review of The Zero Theorem (2013) by Dhaval P — 29 Sep 2014
Qohen Leth (Christoph Waltz) is an odd reclusive computer genius literally waiting for the call that will tell him the meaning of life. In this mess of a film, Gilliam takes the viewer on an incoherent philosophical journey.
Unlike his previous movies with the quirkiness of Brazil and dissonance of 12 Monkeys, there is no overlying theme, and in terms of entertainment, this film essentially has none. Even though Gilliam is a very brilliant director as judged by his previous film, he falls quite short this time around.
