Review of The Zero Theorem (2013) by Kyle B — 01 Nov 2014
Very disappointed how this turned out as I am a fan of Terry Gilliam. This is a crazy movie but not in the fun way I like Terry Gilliam movies it is just all over the place. This is probably the weakest performance I have seen Christoph Waltz give but it wasn't terrible.
Like always, Tilda Swinton saved this movie though it was a small part. Matt Damon also has a great small role. I just never really cared about what was going on because I never really understood the goals of this character.
This has a major 1984 feel to it but even that wasn't tackled well. In typical Terry Gilliam fashion, this is visually stunning in visuals, art direction, costumes, and make up. If this had a little more focus, I would have enjoyed it more.
