Review of The Zero Theorem (2013) by Pete C — 08 Dec 2014
Superb.A reworking of the Orwellian nightmare, via the protagonists tortured belief system becoming presented with lifes ever conflicting stimuli.Paralleling the modern net-based worlds of games, work, advertising and business modelled elitist double speak, the details are in the script,as well as the awesomely constructed and photographed sets and clothes.
They compound the paradoxic paradigmatic subtext at a masterful level.
Whats not to like? Gilliam at his best always requires the full attention of the observer.
