Review of The Zero Theorem (2013) by Chris P — 17 Dec 2014
Confused, muddled with no discernible plot, it really limps towards the end after one or two valid, if hackneyed observations on modern life. The party scene - people more engaged through devices than real life - and the contrast between Qohen's dark, gothic church and the advertising saturated street, both scenes in the first few minutes, were the main cameos in the film but after that it limped to a trite and confused conclusion.
Even Christoph Waltz or Tilda Swinton couldn't bring any life to the two dimensional characters they were given.
1980s lo-fi camp in a 21st century skin.
