Review of The Zero Theorem (2013) by Lian C — 21 Jan 2015
Zero must equal one hundred percent. This is what Qohen Leth (Christoph Waltz) tries to prove over and over again in this futuristic sci-fi extravaganza from Terry Gilliam.
With existentialism being a major theme, Terry Gilliam at the helm, and a cast with names like Christoph Waltz, Matt Damon, and Tilda Swinton, The Zero Theorem, on paper, looked like something that could've been mind-blowing and poignant. Sadly, it doesn't quite hit the mark. It was just ok, at best. Visually whimsical and surreal, which made it at least interesting to watch.
