Review of The Young Victoria (2009) by Josh B — 08 May 2010
A breath of fresh air. A very well written and directed film about the early years of Queen Victoria. Watching this film brought back the same feeling I get when I watch Pride and Prejudice. The cinematography, costume design and the great storytelling pulls you into the film.
What I enjoyed the most was the relationship displayed between Victoria and Albert. Their marriage was the type of marriage or relationship you simply don't hear about anymore in the 21 Century.
A great period, historical film that will certainly be one I will be watching again.
