I enjoyed the simplicity of the movie, compared to other period dramas. This one wasn't complicated, it wasn't long. It was full of a great cast telling the story of a fraction of Victoria's life.
It wasn't the fantastic costumes that kept my attention. It was the feeling you felt when she and Albert met - every time. FANTASTIC chemistry between the two. This movie wasn't all about the politics of a new young queen.
If it were, it'd have to have been much longer than 2 hours. It's a love story - and you get enveloped in it. I loved it.
