One of the best movies I've ever seen. Great performances from all, especially a young Paul Newman. Newman's character, Anthony Lawrence, comes from a middle class background and wants to play in the "Big Leagues" of Philadelphia's elite class.
Along the way, he decides to do "whatever it takes" to make it there. But, when faced with a dilemma to do "what it takes" to win a high-profile case that could destroy his best friend and bring down his family, he decides to.
