Review of The Young Philadelphians (1959) by Eddie A — 22 Aug 2009
This was a pretty good movie. It's a nicely paced story with great acting. Paul Newman has to be one of the best looking actors ever so any movie with him in it is worth watching. It was interesting seeing the development of the main character, Tony, but I really enjoyed the courtroom scenes.
I wish that part of the story had been more developed. The impetuousness of Joan was a little irritating, especially in light of how it turned Tony into a self-centered jerk. His redemption and their reconciliation put a nice end to the movie.
