Review of The Young Messiah (2016) by Cynthia H — 11 Mar 2016
We know this is not biographical, but I can say it was a believable tale! We didn't know any of the actors, which helped make these characters even more credible. I was with a Bible study group of 10, male & female, and 3 pre-teens, and we were all in agreement.
We didn't want the movie to end! As parents, we all felt the anguish, and understood the difficulty Mary & Joseph faced as they tried to protect this precious GIFTed son. We understood the conflicted responses of other family members.
The story was excellent, scenery beautiful, but the acting was the best I've seen in some other Christian movies in the industry that seem more like high school dramas. Every character and scene was smooth, superbly, delightfully, and believably acted.
Our group was at the opening day first showing--none of us walked away disappointed! Good for family, and all age groups. Refreshing!!!
