Review of The Yellow Sea (2010) by Adriano B — 23 Jan 2012
Na's formula could be simple, but not simplistic: take an otherwise usual (albeit twisty and involuted) thriller, and place in the role of the antihero a character on the fringe of society - here an illegal immigrant.
Action is close quarter, grim and personal, sometimes goofy as reality may be. Vis eral and powerful teach a lesson about how not to piss of a taxi-driver (sounds pleasantly familiar).
