I like this kind of movie. Three actors with their conversations. With that, acting becomes the major part of the movie.

The director told us that Redemption was the great message of the movie. Forgiveness is a virtue that is pretty much neglected by us today. With an education system that is never designed to give people a second chance, a media system that gives the success an over-the-top compliment and failure utter condemnation, and a value system that criticizing people are deemed acts of smartness and acts of praising people are deeded acts of being speculative and calculative, forgiveness and redemption are not words in our vocabulary.

"You are too young to fail." The William Hurt character told the 16-year-old kid in the movie (I forgot their names coz I am writing this review 3 weeks after I watched the movie...). There is always a second chance, William Hurt got out of jail and gave himself and his lover a second chance. Actually this kind of thinking should make us better in coping with failure.

The atmosphere that is created in the movie is eerie. Sort of like hopelessness in the beginning with that Pouring rain. Not much colours in the movie but with the sunshine in the latter part of the movie, I feel the sense of hope.
