Review of The Yearling (1946) by Veronica X — 28 Nov 2010
It is a heartwarnming movie from the 1940's. As I was watching it, I kept thinking that this is a combination of To Kill a Mockingbird/Bambi/Lassie. Jane Wyman sure is a different actress in this film compared to "The Lost Weekened.
" Though it is not one of my favourites, it some very nice qualities to it, such as a strong storyline, good acting (Wyman particularly), and beatiful colour. Overall, not a bad film. I think this one should also be on the 1001 Movies List.
