Review of The Year My Parents Went on Vacation (2006) by Nathália P — 13 Jul 2008
The best thing about the movie is the director's name Cao Hamburger, pronounced "Cow Hamburger" everything after that is completely forgetable. A film about a boy living in the Jewish community of Brazil during the 1970 World Cup, A coming of age film that is not really bad, but does not bring anything new to the genre and never really manages to capture a time and place.
I have not thought about it since I walked out of the theatre, but at the same time I can not really think of anything really bad to say about it.
