Review of The Year My Parents Went on Vacation (2006) by Kurt A — 12 Nov 2008
Great movie. It makes me wonder why our generation has so little political knowledge and almost no will of having it. Corruption in Brazil is as bad as always, with the difference that now the people chose to close their eyes for this.
At the time of the movie, people were afraid of the "ditadura", but even so they stood their ground. The movie give us a taste of this time, mixing political views with the passion for soccer.
Great work by Cao Hamburger, with a touch of Fernando Meirelles (co-production).
