If you were a fan of the show, you will enjoy this movie. It perfectly resolves the Scully and Muldur relationship, which is what the show was really about.
The movie also takes chances by starting off a number of years in the future with significant changes in the lives of each character. I did not perform well at the box office, likely because it was a not the science fiction movie people expected, rather a relationship movie with a science fiction subplot.
Well done and a perfect resolution to the relationship. NOT a Sci-Fi Adventure flick.
