Review of The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008) by Pausee — 27 Jul 2008
At its best, The X-Files required its audience to think. This film is no different. I've seen it three times so far, and with each viewing, I see more depth and nuance than before. "I Want to Believe" doesn't have a 50-foot-tall monster nor dazzing special effects.
IWTB is a small, intimate film that explores an X-File through the eyes of the more mature and settled Mulder and Scully. This IS a film for the fans, without a doubt. But casual and new viewers, the ones I met anyway, left the theater saying they liked it.
SEE it. If you've seen it, SEE it again. It's worth it.
