Review of The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008) by Gregoryb. — 26 Jul 2008
This falls FLAT. This plays like a very watered-down csi episode. 5 of us fans all went and were all disappointed in the outcome. The story is passable but not really explained and many loose-end and holes flow throughout.
I thought the cinematography was good but the direction was poor. It feels like a sleepy late night USA movie where the characters you adored forgot who they were and acted out a story that forgot what show this was written for.
Slow, lame, and no soul. I will continue to love the show but the movie turns into a fiasco after 20 minutes.
