Review of The Wrestler (2008) by Joshua L — 08 Feb 2012

I liked the story it was interesting, started well but then strayed from what coulda been great, to just good. This movie had all the makings of a great film but it just fell flat. Mickey Rourke I've always thought 2 be a great actor but he was just perfect in this role, to the point where I don't feel like he was acting.

He was playing himself and I just don't feel he shudda got nominated for it. Now I do think he deserves an oscar and im so glad he's found success again but if u were gonna nominate him for this role then why not for his role in Domino or Sin city, a role that wasn't so close 2 how he is or was.

thats just how I feel, I also didn't like how it ended but I guess it was something real which was refreshing 2 see.
