Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei do act splendidly, but it is Evan Rachel Wood who makes this film a beauty. The tension between Randy and his daughter is intense and emotional. The character of Cassidy doesn't quite fit, but Tomei acts it well enough to get past that.
A very moving and honest film.
