Review of The Wrestler (2008) by Jamie I — 26 Jun 2016
I do believe that Mickey Rourke earned his Oscar nod for this film. His acting as the miserable pathetic Randy "The Ram" whose only joy life is his dried up professional wrestling career. This film is agonizing as we watch Randy struggle to repair his shattered relationship with his daughter, struggle to court Marisa Tomei's sexy stripper, Pam/Cassidy, struggle with a heart attack and struggle to fit into the real world. This movie is sad at best and the thing that made me the angriest is its abrupt ending, no resolution; it just ends. I don't know if I can recommend this but I can say damn! I don't even have a body like Maria Tomei now; she looks smoking hot for 45! I'm.
Jealous.
