Absolutely cheesetastic to the max but it is entertaining. Lodged in my brain as a faint memory I checked this out again and while it is dated, I like the TV look to it. There's Charlotte Rae doing her schtick and there's Fairuza Balk doing her precious sad little girl thing as the title wost witch.
Cheese effects and tone but what do you expect from an 80's TV production of a children's book? Yes Tim Curry is the best thing in this.
