The true story of burt monro, a kiwi who bought a brand new indian motorcycle in the 20's and made a lifetime of working on it and making it faster. the movie follows his first migration to the bonneville salt flats for the world land speed trials in the 60s where he is almost not allowed to run.
Hopkins does an excellent job playing burt a self proclaimed dirty old man(see documentary in special features) who went on to set records in effect to this day.
A truly charming film about a real history maker.
