Review of The World's Fastest Indian (2005) by Pedro P — 23 Sep 2008
A warm, spacious and stunningly photographed road movie with a stirring sense of the wide-open landscapes of the American West. A nostalgic kind of biopic that leaves you with the pleasant feeling that you have seen one man's dream come true.
The film does what it sets out to do: educates about a mostly unknown historical figure (without doctoring the facts too much), entertains, and uplifts. And Sir Anthony Hopkins pulls off (almost secretly) one of the best performances of his career, by making justice to Munro's complicated emotional framework.
