Review of The World's End (2013) by Eric P — 02 May 2014
After seeing the last movie in the Cornetto trilogy I was not disappointed! The Worlds End had its combination of character background and great story. While I did laugh at some parts I did not think it was as funny as Shaun of the Dead.
Simon Pegg was a lovable confused dofus and Nick Frost played a mostly serious character which was kind of a let down because he's usually a big part in what makes these movies funny! The "blanks" were actually really cool, and to add to the coolness anytime they were on screen something funny would happen.
A few other small things that made me like the movie were the Cornetto references (the wrapper) and the fence gag that is in every one of the movies. While this had a better ending than Hot Fuzz it could'nt beat Shaun of the Dead.
I think I just expected it to be a lot funnier and that may have affected my opinion, but ill definitely enjoy seeing it again! B+.
