Review of The World's End (2013) by Jake T — 06 Aug 2015
Friends reunite for an epic pub crawl & find themselves humanity's last hope.
Like a 20 year reunion, Gary King gets his old gang of school friends back together to finish an epic pub crawl they started at school. As they catch up and move from pub to pub they soon realise that the struggle to reach their final destination, The World's End may be more difficult than they realised as the towns folk appear to be behaving strangely and an encounter reveals all is not well, not only in their old home but in the world.
Being a Simon Pegg/Nick Frost movie, I thought I might've known what to expect, but even then I was surprised but not disappointed. It's another decent addition along with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz along similar lines of pending doom and lots of chaos.
Enjoyable and funny. Recommended if you liked their previous outings.
