Review of The World's End (2013) by Larry H — 30 Jul 2017
Edgar Wright has a deep understanding of the language of film and what keeps audiences engaged. During the action set pieces the locations may be repetitive, but each of the five Drunketeers find ways to fight off waves of baddies in inventive ways.
Sometimes when a film simmers down to deliver exposition dialogue or develop a character, things become uninteresting. But not here. Wright's frenetic editing keeps the pace going strong.
