The World Is Not Enough is the nineteenth spy film in the James Bond series, and the third to star Pierce Brosnan as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. A thoroughly satisfying action packed Bond with a dark and interesting villian played by Robert Carlyle.

I'm finding it hard to give ratings to the Brosnan bonds because they're all staying at pretty much the same entertainment level, but this one is my favourite Brosnan Bond so far. It balances the action and its emotional tone well and the Bond theme which never gets old is utilised excellently.

Brosnan has settled comfortably in his role and delivers his lines with much more pressence. With Judi Dench as M getting more screen time it's good seeing her relationship with Bond develope but I feel like the newer ones lack something that the old ones have and I can't really but my finger on it.

This is the last one to star Desmond Llewelyn as Q and he leaves the series with some advice. Q: "I've always tried to teach you two things: First, never let them see you bleed;" Bond: "And second?" Q: "Always have an escape plan" - before he is lowered out of view.

A very touching moment, so long Desmond Llewelyn.
