Review of The World Is Not Enough (1999) by Craig F — 09 Aug 2015
The most exiting open in a Bond film so far. Sets up a really compelling villain but can't follow through. That being said, Carlyle and (Spoiler!) Marcea are both great. Marceau is the most charismatic Bond girl yet, and although Richards is unconvincing as a doctor, it doesn't make her any less likable.
Great use of time and location and despite it feeling unfocused at times, it stays exiting throughout, a refreshing change of pace from previous Bond films.
