The opening boat chase is great but the action throughout is muted and at times boring and it is bogged down by the overall love lost theme. Sophie Marceau is stunning as Elektra King but any joy she brings to the screen is sucked out by the vapid Denise Richards as Dr.
Christmas Jones, laughably a nuclear scientist and easily one of the worst names in the Bond series. It is not great but still better than any of the Dalton films.
