Review of The World According to Garp (1982) by Stirling S — 14 Feb 2008

Thanks to HBO, I caught a showing of this movie. 1982 must have been a strange year. They asked Robin Williams to star (!??!) in a mostly serious movie (?!?!). They even got some dude named John Lithgow to be a transexual ex-pro football player.

Anyway, I was completely amazed by this movie which follows T.S. Garp (Williams) from his birth, personal relationships, writing career, and other spoilery things. By far the best Robin Williams you're likely to see.
