Review of The World According to Garp (1982) by Carolyn G — 15 Mar 2010
This is another one I caught on cable when I was probably too young to be watching. Still, it made me pilfer the book from my mom's collection and began my long love affair with John Irving. The film adaptation features the debuts of several future stars, plus moving performances by established ones.
Robin Williams was phenomenal, as was Glenn Close, but it was Lithgow's Roberta Muldoon that really nailed it the best. A great movie that more people should have seen!
